This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our VibeChess Puzzles mobile application (the "App").

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication information. If you use Google Sign-in, we receive your name and email address from your Google account.
  • Profile Information: You may choose to provide additional information such as a profile picture or biographical information.
  • Game Data: We collect information about your gameplay, including puzzle completion, duel results, and statistics.
  • Analytics Data: Through Firebase Analytics, we collect anonymous usage data to help us improve the app experience.
  • Crash Reports: Firebase Crashlytics collects data about app crashes to help us identify and fix technical issues.
  • Device Information: We collect information about your mobile device, including device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
  • In-App Purchase and Subscription Data: If you choose to subscribe to VibeChess Puzzles, we collect information related to your subscription, such as the subscription plan, start and end dates, and transaction identifiers. This data is processed and managed by RevenueCat and the respective App Stores (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). We do not collect or store your full payment card information.

Third-Party Services

VibeChess Puzzles uses the following third-party services to provide and improve our application:

  • Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data that helps us understand how users interact with our app. Crashlytics helps us identify and fix app crashes to improve stability. These services may collect device information and app usage data.
  • Google Sign-in and Supabase: We offer Google Sign-in as an authentication option, which is processed through Supabase, our backend service provider. When you use Google Sign-in, we receive your name and email address from your Google account.
  • Railway: We host our application backend on Railway, which processes and stores data in Supabase according to their privacy and security standards.
  • RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat processes subscription data, including purchase history and subscription status, on our behalf. RevenueCat may collect device information and app usage data as described in their privacy policy.

Data Storage

Your personal information and game data are stored securely:

  • User account details (name, email) are stored in our Supabase database to identify you and provide personalized services.
  • Game progress and statistics are stored in our secure database hosted on Supabase.
  • Analytics data is processed and stored by Firebase according to Google's data processing terms.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App
  • Create and manage your account
  • Process and track your game progress
  • Match you with appropriate opponents for duels
  • Maintain leaderboards and rankings
  • Communicate with you about the App
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and requests
  • Analyze app performance and user experience through Firebase Analytics
  • Identify and fix technical issues using Firebase Crashlytics
  • Authenticate you through Google Sign-in and Supabase
  • Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities
  • Protect the rights and property of VibeChess Puzzles and others
  • Process and manage your subscriptions and in-app purchases via RevenueCat and the App Stores.

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • With Other Users: Your username, profile picture, and game statistics may be visible to other users on leaderboards and during duels.
  • With Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party vendors, consultants, and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf.
  • For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if we believe it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend our rights or property, or protect the safety of our users or the public.
  • With Your Consent: We may share your information with third parties when you have given us your consent to do so.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the security of your personal information:

  • We use Supabase's security features for authentication and data storage
  • Our Supabase-hosted infrastructure follows industry-standard security practices
  • Railway processes and stores data securely
  • Firebase services are configured according to Google's security recommendations

However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you wish to delete your account, please contact us at hello@vibeship.ai. Note that we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

Your Choices

You can access and update certain information about yourself by logging into your account settings. You may also contact us directly to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information that you have provided to us.

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
